Miss Dominican Republic Carlina Duran has been stripped of her crown due to that she is married. The twenty five year old was announced as the pageant winner in 2012.
Rules at the time of the event are that the contestants need to be single. But according to reports, Carlina has in fact been married since June 6, 2009 and did not disclose it.
Dominican newspaper Diario Libre reports that a marriage license was issued to her. And now the crown now goes to the 1st runner-up, Dulcita Lieggi.
